For christmas 2012, the communication agency Hyper gave their clients a dice app and a yahtzee score book as a fun little christmas present.

About the app

Hyper wanted to solve a common frustration all norwegians share, in a fun and digital way. Almost every norwegian household owns a cabin in the woods, by a lake or up in the mountains. And every cabin has at least a few board games, and they all seem to be missing a part or two. So, to solve this problem Hyper released a digital dice app on the AppStore for free, and gave all of their clients a companion yahtzee score book.

Using the app is easy. By using a pinch or split gesture, you can spilt and merge dices to either increase or reduce the number of dice. Shake the phone to stir them up and squash the dice you'd like to keep.

The app doesn't feature any yahtzee rules, so you could use the app for more than just playing yahtzee.
